What you'll need for your advising/registration appointment
To prepare for your appointment, please review and follow the Orientation instructions message you received from the Academic Advising Office of your college. Please note, it is critical that you are on time for your appointment.
Please also have the following ready:
- UMD Internet ID and password
- 7 digit student ID number (found in your Admissions letter)
- Notebook and pen/pencil
- Laptop or tablet computer
- Transcript of your post-secondary coursework
The person who will advise you has your best interest in mind and they will recommend classes that fulfill the requirements of your program and move you toward graduation in a timely manner. It’s likely that you'll interact with this advisor throughout your career at UMD and they will be a great resource for you.
